Our firm has proudly advised UniCredit Bank on a multi-million secured financing transaction and has acted as the Bank’s sole Cyprus legal advisor. The secured financing has been provided within the context of a cross-border acquisition involving a regional market leader in the sports retail sector and has been part of the group’s expansion master plans . The credit facility has been secured by security instruments governed by different jurisdictions. Our team has drafted the main security documents governed by Cyprus law and has provided legal opinions to the Bank in relation to the transaction.
Our Nicosia office cooperated in this project with Top Tier law firms in Europe acting for the group as well as for the Bank. Transaction management and coordination services have also been provided by our ‘Best Friend’ law firm – Schonherr.
